Wicked Appetite - Janet Evanovich

Wicked Appetite was way over the top even for me. I'm generally a forgiving reader but damn. Magic and Unmentionables and BUM's. A monkey that seems to understand everything and a mind reading cat. Two hunky devils and some coworkers that are way out there and just as odd.

I have to say. I didn't hate it. I laughed and the banter was pretty good. I have to say the parts with Shirley were pretty funny. Especially, with some of the things she'd come out with. I'm not as disappointed as everyone else seems to be. I enjoyed it and I really want to find out what happens further along in the book. I think that's what frustrated me most about this one. It felt more of a giant setup for future books than it did as a story of it's own.

I really wanted to get more from this one. I wanted more for Diesel and Lizzy but I have a feeling in future books we might be getting more. It was just disappointing in this episode. I really like Diesel's cousin Wulf and I know we'll be getting a lot more from both of them in the future.

So for me, I wasn't super enamored with this one but I do want more. I want to know what happens. I want to find more stones. I could with less monkey's and flying brooms.
